@OfficialTshego is doing the most on latest freestyle!

“Do The Most” – Tshego

Cassper Nyovest‘s label, Family Tree added a few new young artists to the roster last year and Tshego has turned out to be one of the most promising talents signed since. The first time I heard him was on Cassper’s Tsholofelo album and he immediately made a good first impression after his feature on “Cold Hearted”. Truth be told though, I haven’t followed him much since but most of the buzz in the streets has been over his features.

He recently dropped a single titled “Tell em Say” featuring Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest & Gemini Major and that’s been doing the rounds on urban radio & in the scene. “Do the most” is the follow-up freestyle to the single and looks set to be a street anthem! The future looks pretty bright for Tshego but only time will tell us how far he can go. Watch the video for “Do the most” freestyle directed by @OwenBands

Diplo keeps remixing everything but I like it!

“Tennis Court” (Diplo’s Andre Agassi Reebok Pump Remix) – Lorde

Occasionally on this blog I feature music that can be classified as “old” in this microwave generation but that’s the point really! I think a lot of good music gets lost in the trending-topic moments of the internet. This is why my blog serves partially as a time capsule for myself and everybody else who doesn’t consume music at the rate that has become ‘normal’ these days. Anyway, with that out of the way, I can get to the actual point of this post!

Diplo released his remix of “Tennis Court” by Lorde in May last year and it was right around the time Flume dropped his own version which was admittedly more popular at the time. I still thought Diplo made a chilled-banger of note, tailor made for a laid-back summer but I haven’t heard anybody speaking about it since. It goes without saying that Diplo knows how to remix a hit but this one goes down as one of his best to date! Just to top it off, he named it the “Andre Agassi Reebok Pump Remix” probably just because he can. Seemingly a bit of a strange guy but his music does more than compensate if you ask me!

Checkout the Tennis Court remix above.

Radiofien re-introduces herself on new single “The One”

“The One” – Radiofien

Radiofien is a relatively unknown but exciting new Zimbabwean artist that I have been following for about 2 years now. I first encountered her music whilst compiling the tracks for my annual dj mix series with Team Kunakirwa called “The December In Zim Mix”.  She featured on a song by TRK titled ‘Take Me To The Money’ and that’s when I started paying close attention to her music. Unfortunately after that promising introduction she seems to have disappeared altogether for quite a while.

However, she has now re-surfaced and didn’t come back empty handed! Word is she has been working with one of Showtime Zimbabwe’s leading producers DuTch on a new project. To back this up, Radiofien recently dropped the new single titled “The One” and the visuals that accompanied it definitely didn’t disappoint! I’ll be looking out for news on if and when that project is dropping, but in the meantime check out the official video for “The One” and keep an ear out for her music!

“PASOP” (Official Lyric Video)

The Cashtime Life team has been making some serious noise through their solo careers but this is most likely the first time they are all on an official release together. Featuring five different artists on one song can be a tricky task but I can safely say that the final output didn’t disappoint. “Pasop” features K.O, Maggz, Moozlie, Ma-E and Kid-X, in a DJ Khaled-esque collaboration on a bouncy trap beat. The production was on point and the delivery from each artist was flawless in my opinion. Cashtime will probably be dominating the summer with this one! Check out the official lyric video above.

For the Nerds: “Pasop” was produced by K.O & Lunatik Beats.

[Stream] CRNKN turns up the bass for his “Lean On” remix!

“Lean On” (CRNKN Remix) – Major Lazer

Major Lazer dropped their standout summer anthem “Lean On” in March this year and gave a list of popular producers and DJs the opportunity to remix it. LA-based CRNKN dropped a bass-heavy, body-moving remix of the song and of all the remixes I’ve heard, he takes the cup for sure! All the other remixes are available on Major Lazer’s Soundcloud just incase you wanna decide for yourself. But in the meantime checkout CRNKN’s remix!
